Bulaakh Resort, Mussoorie

Bulaakh Resort is run by White Flower and sits on Lake Road at Kyarkuli, on the Dehradun side of Mussoorie near Mussoorie Lake. That means you check in before hitting the traffic around Mall Road and Library Chowk. The resort is built on a hillside with open lawns, and its big draw is the view: most balconies look straight out over the Doon Valley. When the sky is clear, you can watch the lights of Dehradun come on after sunset. It’s a small property, with 22 rooms and suites in total, and a few of them are themed around local culture instead of the usual standard hotel decor. That size keeps things quiet even when Mussoorie is full on a long weekend. The kitchen gets consistently good mentions from guests. There’s also a wellness and fitness area, and a meeting room for small corporate groups. The Mall is a short drive uphill when you want to go out, and coming back to Bulaakh afterwards feels like getting away from the crowds.
